after i finish watching, i'll write something here. =)
i just finished ep.3 yesterday so at last, i can write this post!! haha...

before i talk about the episodes, though, i want to point out that maki yoko was in the genji movie!!! i only realized a long while after i watched the 1st ep., cuz her name sounds familiar! lol. she looks so different in genji! but she got the hottest love scene with half-naked toma!!! arggggh. >_< and she was also a gravure idol when she started out. that's fine, i don't judge her for that, since 90% of japanese actresses started out that way. but i hate it when women get fake boobs, the really big, obviously fake kind. ughhhhh. *rolls eyes* even when she's not wearing revealing clothing in the drama, i thought her chest looked a little too big? she is pretty, though, and only older than toma 2 years. i was surprised cuz she looks older! haha.

toma always stretches like this! i've noticed since he did it in hana kimi. lol. 
he even posed like that in some pics! lol. (OMG, I SPENT TOO MUCH TIME LOOKING

toma looks so hot in tank tops!! i love his lean, toned arms. <3


toma's house is quite nice in the drama! a cozy little cabin, in the bamboo forest, with wood all over! 


................................. EPISODE 1


i thought ep. 1 was ok, but it was depressing already. =/ this is not the kind of drama that i like, and honestly, i'm only watching because toma's in it. i can understand why the ratings are bad, because episode 2 was also pretty boring. episode 3 got better, but if i was not a toma fan (or a fan of any other ppl in the cast), i would quit watching after episode 1. really...

i think i have a problem with it because this is a very "japanese" drama...with the themes of not giving up when things get tough, helping the elderly, and doing what you can for the greater good. i understand that all this is good, but it gets boring when the themes keep repeating and i hate it when there's too much preaching in dramas. i hate being told what to do. 

-i think a lot of japanese dramas (and korean ones) are guilty of this, but there's definitely a lot of melodramatic scenes that really annoy me. or maybe it's a cultural thing that i don't get, but it's as if they're overdoing it sometimes to try to make us cry, but it just makes me irritated. 

-the good thing about this drama is that the scenery is beautiful in shimanto. but then it's a small town, so nothing that interesting happens... 

-what is with the lighting?? something's off.  especially in the neighborhood bar. it's a little blurry. i don't like whatever filter they are using.

-toma...his character is ok. but he seems to be trying too hard to be cute sometimes? lol. i'd rather he just be more natural...

-i like toma's down-to-earth image in here. his hair is a little too poofy, but oh well. all the hoodies, hats, and backpacks. xD it makes him look younger. 

-FAVORITE SCENE:
when jotaro and kahori went canoeing in the river.

-i like kenta's character the most. he's friendly and funny.
and the way he acts when he's around his crush is cute. ~_~

-the guy who is kahori's ex and ayaka are both sooooo expressionless and robot-like. i don't like them.

-kahori always has same bored expression on her face!! -___-

-FAVORITE SCENE:
when junichi asked for jotaro's and kahari's phone numbers. lol!! xD
if you look carefully at toma's face in that scene, he looks like he's about to laugh! hahaha...

...........................................EPISODE 3

-i bet ep.3 is toma's favorite (he said so in his blog) cuz they got to have a festival and play with the kids. xD
i think this is the best episode so far! =)

-none of the characters are that interesting or likable, but at least some of them have secrets that i'm sort of curious about... 

-i want to see more relationship stuff in future episodes! i guess they will gradually focus on the relationships more, thank goodness, because it's more interesting than seeing jotaro work on projects to help the community. 

-i just noticed that haruna is actually quite pretty and she looks a little bit like ruby lin when her hair is down! she's usually too perky and cheerful, but i hope  she'll tone it down later. is she trying to use toma to get rid of a clingy ex or something?? weird.

-i was impressed with how real the typhoon scenes looked! they must have had really big wind machines!! even the trees were swaying from the wind!

-i know they're supposed to end up together, but TOMA AND MAKI YOKO DON'T MATCH!! i just don't think they look like a couple, and not just because she looks like his big sister. (i know you're gonna say that i seem to not like anyone he's paired with, but that's not true!! i like toma + maki and toma + gakky.)

-FAVORITE SCENE
i guess it has to be the matsuri scene. toma is so cute and hyper, and wearing that nice festival outfit (what is it called? lol.)!! but i also really liked the part where toma had to go out to check on the festival stuff and he was all wet and worried, and it was just crazy windy and raining. it was so intense!
