list of japanese dramas that i want to watch...

recently i watched a korean drama with my family and i just didn't like it much... then i just happened to find a japanese drama dubbed in our language at the place where we rent dramas and it's nino's old drama, Ryusei no Kizuna! we've only watched 2 episodes, but we all really like it. it's so cool to be able to see nino and ryo on my tv instead of my computer, and all this time, i've only watched dramas with toma in it. lol.

so i finally decided to look for other good japanese dramas to watch, and i found a lot! :) i thought i would share my list here and if anyone has any suggestions (japanese dramas or movies), please comment! ~_~

almost done with this one. i love it!! partly because i love gakky and she is so cute in here, but her dad being all girly cuz she's in his body is so funny and it's just a really cute and heartwarming story. and kato, from NEWS is her boyfriend!! i was wondering why he looked so familiar. lol... didn't know till i looked at his wiki page

i know a lot of people love this series and say it's hilarious, but i tried watching a little and there's so much serious stuff going on, when he's not at school. i still might watch it later, but i'm not sure. it just seems too much like how he was in Unubore, and gakky's character is probably just a typical nice h.s. girl, like usual.

i thought i would like this more since a lot of people have said they love it, but it's not as funny as i thought it would be. i don't really like kame or maki's characters much, but i like yamashita's quirky, weird character. lol. i fast-forwarded a lot, so i'm halfway through this drama. xD

nino and ryo!!! =) they're both so cute. i like how nino is the big brother, coming up with the plans and trying his best to take care of his siblings.

i went through the cast of hana kimi and looked for their dramas and found some interesting ones! =)

this is my favorite right now!! masaki is really cute and sweet and this drama really reminds me of hana kimi!! there's a few people from the cast of hana kimi, and the general wacky atmosphere and silly high school students, even certain things that happen, like there's a ghost and they go to a beach hut...

this drama is more silly and funny than i expected!! and there's great classical music and the main character is really handsome!! ~_~ i think i'll watch this after i finish Otomen.

i thought there would be more yamapi dramas that seem good, but i don't really like the stories of the other ones. i think this might be ok, though i don't like who he's paired up with...

i might try watching these, but i'm really not sure....they don't seem that interesting to me or i don't really like the cast that much...

I've watched most of what's on your list^^
Then again I watch a lot of asian dramas, movies and anime XD
So feel free to ask me anytime :]

The ones I haven't watched are:
Buzzer Beat, Samurai HS and Bloody Monday (my sister loves this).

I say watch 'HOTARU no HIKARI' because that thing is GOLD. Mukai Osamu is on it's 2nd season and Tegoshi (NEWS) is on the movie. It's a funny and extremely adorable drama that is sure to grow on you. I thought I wouldn't like it at first so I delayed watching it but once I started, I ended up watching everything in one go - and that was so many years ago. Hahahaha!

Ayase Haruka has a lot of nice movies/drama and she's quite likable and just so charming so I tend to watch things if she's in them. JIN was also really good from S1 to S2^^ Stellar casting and superb acting! I love Uchino Masaaki (Ryoma) and also Nakatani Miki (Nokaze) in it.

I like Okada Masaki too! I notice that he's usually paired up with Kaho. They do have great chemistry so that doesn't surprise me one bit. I recently watched him on 'Himitsu no Akko-chan' (with Ayase Haruka) and he was gorgeous there as well :]

I don't care too much when it comes to casting since characters can grown on you if the role is well played. Korean dramas and Japanese dramas have major differences specially when it comes to humor and general atmosphere but I'm perfectly fine with both. My bottom-line: if the storyline is worthy of attention then I will give it a try and see if it strikes a chord in me or not.

I am so sorry for prattling and being all strange and 'creepy' but it's been awhile XD
Anyway, I'm back in LJ! Hopefully I'll be able to do an update soon!

Btw, what dramas are you watching from this season?
How about last season? Sorry...I'm prattling again XD

really? since you said so, i'll try watching hotaru no hikari, after i finish Otomen and Ryusei no Kizuna. ~_~ i kinda know about Jin, but it's just that i prefer watching modern series rather than period ones. Himitsu no Akko-chan looks like a good movie! i'll try to remember to check it out later. thanks!

well, it's just that i rarely find a korean drama that i like, so i'd just rather stick with japanese dramas for now. and it's just nice to see familiar faces and places in japanese dramas. i guess you're right, but i don't have much patience, so if i don't like the cast, it's hard for me to wait until the story gets interesting before i quit watching. haha...

i am not interested in recent dramas. the only newest drama i watched is toma's Osozaki no Himiwari, from autumn of last year, and it wasn't that great. =T right now i'm just looking up popular, older dramas to watch. =)

Rich Man, Poor Woman - was adorable and quite recent so you can try watching that^^ I'm currently watching dramas that I've seen before (quite some time ago) along with the new ones from this season. I hate waiting for the next episode so I tend to watch everything in one go once I have the entire season downloaded XD If you love food like I do then you can try Kudoku no Gurume...be warned though that you should not watch this with no food at hand because you will definitely go hungry!

Last weekend I re-watched/scrolled through old dramas like: Ohitorisama, Minami-kun no Koibito, Yamada Taro Monogatari, Tatta Hitotsu no Koi, Ikemen Desu Ne, and Yasuko to Kenji.

This weekend I plan to watch english movies for a change XD Hahahaha! Btw, you should try Lovely Complex...it's a cute romantic/comedy movie that stars Teppei Koike.
