clothes haul: Delia's

so...i found out that Delia's, my favorite place to buy clothes, was closing last month. =( they are still open now (the stores and website), but they probably will close down soon because they said in the emails and website that these are the last days of the big going out of business sale. they have a ton of cute, stylish, and unique clothing. they were a bit pricey, but they often had sales where you could get a lot of great deals. of course i had to order from there one last time! luckily i did early on, too. because a lot of items or items in my size were already out of stock then. also, recently, i keep seeing people comment on their facebook page that they are having trouble placing an order or being overcharged.

i had no trouble with my order at all. none of my items were canceled. it only took a bit longer than a week for my package to come, and that was because of a delay by UPS. since they are having a huge sale, almost all my items were under $10!! mostly around $5. the most expensive was the 3 necklaces, which was around $10. I received my package a few days before Xmas, but I just haven't been able to get around to writing this haul post until now. lol. THIS IS MY FIRST TIME EVER WRITING A HAUL POST, FOR MY LAST ORDER FROM DELIA'S. ='( i wish i had made haul posts for some of my old Delia's orders (or Yesstyle). maybe i will sometimes, from now on.

you might notice i have no winter clothes at all. it's because i got all my tops from the Clearance section. even though they are closing soon, at that time, the sweaters and newer tops were still mostly over $20 (that's after 40-60% off) and i didn't like any enough to buy them. lol. now it's 50-70% off and free shipping over $25. damn. lol. but it's better that i bought earlier. too many people ordering now, so there's a lot of problems they're having with their orders.

so...that's that. i've been shopping here since 2011, i think. and after 3 years this is my last order. =(

-This is my 6th item. Pave Crescent, Opal & Triangle 3-Pack Necklace Set. I'm obsessed with the moon, so I had to get this necklace!!! Lol. Sure, it looks fake and kind of cheap, but I still like it. Haha. (Actually, I kept taking this out and adding it back in my Shopping Bag many times. Haha...Same with some of the other items. I spent hours looking for things to buy and debating with myself whether or not I should buy certain items!!!)

1) "Every Summer Has a Story" Pocket Tee

-stars: 3/5

-sizing: Feels true to size. it fits pretty well, for a medium.
i usually wear a small, though. (they only had M left.)

This was the first top I saw when i opened the box. I was instantly disappointed. lol. because for some reason i really wanted a pale pink top. that's why i bought this. but the actual color is more of a bright, almost neon pink. lol. it's not that bad, i guess. but it's more of a summer-ish shirt. it's also cropped like 90% of the tees they sell there. lol. i don't like short tees, but i can just wear a tank top underneath. oh, i like the text on the shirt. because i met my ex (who i still talk to) during summer. i also became a toma fan during the summer, years ago. =)

(By the way, a lot of Delia's clothes have reviews, which are so helpful!! so many times, the reviews have helped me figure out which size or color i should get (some items run big or run small or the real color is not that nice) or if i want to even buy it at all. i haven't shopped anywhere else where there are so many reviews. it's like 70% of the time, there are reviews for items at Delia's. but this time, i think only 1 of my items had a review, and it wasn't very helpful. lol.)

2) "Absolute Perfection" Tee

-stars: 4/5

-sizing: Feels too big, for a medium. (they only had M left.)

This is kind of silly, but the main reason i got this was because it is like something you would see on tumblr. lolllll. i thought it would be fun to kind of wear a tumblr post. hahaha. and the text, "Absolute Perfection", is probably describing that perfect sunset, but it could also be a tongue-in-cheek compliment for myself. haha. and also, some weird, flirty people on kik have actually used the word "perfection" to describe me, so i this is a funny inside joke for me, too. xD

i was afraid that it would look kind of kiddy or too silly. but i actually love the bold shades of pink and this tee looks very pretty. it feels quite big for a medium, though. but i think i can still pull it off. it feels like something i should wear to sleep since it's so big and the material is very nice and soft and comfy (and kind of stretchy?). lol. like the first tee, the color is darker and quite different from the pic on the website, but in this case, i like the real color more than the website pic's color.

3) "You Me Oui" Twist-Back Tank

-stars: 5/5

-sizing: Feels true to size. (also only M left. but it actually fits fine. ^^)

I really like the pretty and kind of romantic/flirty text on this tank. =) it's cute. and the color is almost exactly as on the website. it's a nice navy blue. blue is my favorite color, by the way!! xD i love these long tanks that are sexy on the side or back. though i can't just walk around wearing them with just a bra or bandeau underneath. but i can wear it under a plaid shirt or cardigan and still feel cool and comfy. lol. so...yeah, the sides and back show a lot of skin if you wear it like how it's supposed to be worn. but it's cute. i'm glad i got it, though i will just wear it under other layers. lol.

4) Lace Trim Sweater Knit Tank

-sizing: Feels true to size. (I was able to get a small. ^^)

This is a really nice tank! i usually only wear tank tops under my shirts, but this one, i feel like i can wear as a top. i love the lace trim on the bottom. so cute! plus, i actually ordered a sweater with a similar lace trim one time, but then cancelled it because i didn't like the real color of the sweater (i saw it in the catalogue). so i feel like this is my second chance of having a lace trim top. hehe.

i expected it to be white, though. but its real color is grey. lol. that's ok, actually. it still looks pretty in grey, so i don't really mind. it's very soft and comfy, too.

but it's very see through. lol. notice that in the pic at the website, the model is actually wearing another tank top underneath. lolllll. i didn't notice that when i decided to buy it. so i can wear it with slightly see through sweaters or tops, but not the very see through ones. well, this is kind of useful because i have a lot of Delia's tops that are crop tops or just very short (and see through) and i need to wear a tank underneath.

5) Chambray Crop Bustier Top

-stars: 3/5

-sizing: Feels too small.
(they only had XS left, but usually, i am able to fit in XS. but this was too small. sigh.)

I've wanted to buy a bustier top at Delia's (and other places) for a long time now. i dunno...i just want a cute/sexy one. lol. but it has always been too expensive or not that pretty. so i was so excited to finally buy this one since it was only $5something because of the sale going on!!!!

this was my favorite item. the one i was most excited about. but also the one that made me the saddest. because it does not fit!!! =( well, technically i can fit in it. i can button it all up, but it takes a lot of effort. but it is so tight, it crushes my boobs and just makes it hard to breathe. hahahaha. sad. but i'm glad i can still kinda wear it, albeit for very short amounts of time. lol. better than not being able to button it at all. sigh.

the real color was more of a dull, dusty blue, not as nice as the more vibrant blue in the pics at the website. =/ it was also shorter than it looked on the top left model. wearing it, it looks more like the model on the bottom, wearing a different one. i actually think it looks nicer shorter, though. so that's ok.

I thought it would be nice to show you my 5 favorite items from Delia's over the years!! it was hard to pick, but i think these are my 5 favorite ones.

---------white dress: I love this dress! it is very girly, elegant, and pretty. it makes me feel like a princess. ~_~ might be my favorite dress from Delia's. it was pretty much exactly like the pic at the website. but i didn't expect the bodice to be kind of see through. lol. also, i wish the back wasn't so plain. it just looks like a basic tank top in the back. haha.

----------- white sweater: This sweater is really soft, cozy, and cute! the bows in the back are very cute. but the 3/4 length sleeves. hmm. kind of an awkward length. because it is a little long for 3/4 length sleeves. lol. it looks nice on the model, but on me, it looks a little funny.

----------- floral bikini: PERFECT!!!!!! 1st ever bikini i bought just for fun. lol. don't think i'll ever wear it in public. hahaha. the color is almost exactly like in the pic with the model. i love the pretty floral pattern. People in the reviews were saying that it's more for lounging around than for swimming. i kind of agree. because it feels like it might move around if you swim. you'll have to be careful and adjust it/check it each time before you get out of the water.

------------ periwinkle lacy top: I used to be obsessed with the color periwinkle, btw. lol. this is a really girly, kinda sexy, pretty top!! also makes me feel like a princess. xD and the pattern, the centers of the flowers are kind of glittery/shine in the light =) also, i usually don't like peplum (puffy on the bottom) tops, but on this top, it looks nice.

but i haven't worn this top much. the problem is that the entire back is see through lace. lol. and the bodice is a bit too low-cut for me. but recently, i saw a girl on tv wearing a similar top (also blue!), and she wore a white tank top underneath and it actually looks ok! so i think i'll try that next time. =)

------------ purple checkered shirt: This chiffon shirt is sooooo pretty and the material is soooo nice and flowy. it is longer than it looks on the model, though. but they did include a pic where you can see that. but i'm short, so sometimes i think it makes me look like i'm wearing something that i should wear to bed?? lol. and i got a small, too!! but i still like it a lot. haha.
