tomas_room2(WOW. I LOVE HOW THE NEW LJ SCRAPBOOK CAN BULK UPLOAD + when posting an entry, we can mass upload (and resize!!) pics from the LJ scrapbook albums!!!! much faster 2 post pics this way!!! <3)
so i went to the beach on a cloudy day and everything was grey and boring. here in california, we're having "june gloom", which means that most days and nights are cloudy. i hate it cuz i can't see the stars/moon that much at night before the clouds come and cover everything. but at least cuz of this, the weather is still pretty cool, though it's already summer. i love the mild, mostly cool + sunny california weather. hehe...
i saw this genji poster at the dvd place at mitsuwa last week!! hehe. i guess it's possible for me to rent/buy the genji dvd there, but it would still be in japanese and i wouldn't understand anything. and i think a lot of the stuff they sell are japanese-region only. maybe they assume most japanese ppl here have region-all dvd players or something?? I HOPE SOMEONE WILL SUB GENJI SOON!! maybe a lot of toma fans have already watched the raw by now, but i'd rather wait for the subs...
i was really sad to find out that the sanseido japanese bookstore at mitsuwa is closing down!!!! =,( the japanese bookstore kinokuniya will take over this space, but it will not be the same... >__< i've always liked sanseido more cuz they have more magazines and stationary & i liked the layout +ppl that worked there more... i've been going here for 3 years now, and i've bought so many toma magazines and bday cards for toma and other cute japanese stuff here.... i really hope that by the time kino opens in july, it will be similar to how it used to look + still have a nice big stationary/pens section. right now only a very limited selection of magazines and manga out front, and the rest of the place is blocked off. i just saw a hole in the black tarp thingy they were covering everything up with and took this pic. =/

the manga aisle in book-off. very cheap used manga in this aisle!! mostly only $3!!

i was able to find a copy of the 1st book in the Lovey Dovey series! yey!!
some yummy food & snacks i bought from mitsuwa....the Snapple peach tea is soooo good!! ^^
i just noticed this text on the side and was like what?? haha...
it's cuz the brand is O.N.E....so this coconut drink will change yr life!! LOL.
more snacks/food....^^
cute pink & blue fish!! my mom bought these recently for her aquarium. ~__~
i bought this cute frog plushie for kitty to play with. hehe...
he loves biting it. i was hoping he would learn to hug it, but not yet. T__T
here is our stripey kitty now... he's grown a lot! not as cute as before
and now he just climbs on everything and jumps so high and
pretty much does whatever he wants! >.<
so tough to keep him from certain places in the house...
but he still looks cute when he's sleeping. hehe...

Date: 2012-06-24 02:23 am (UTC)ohh. lol. i guess the prices at any japanese store is kinda expensive, right? xD that's why i don't go there often, maybe only once a month or less. xD yeahh. the cute stuff and manga at kino are kinda expensive. the magazines are ok, i guess, if u only sometimes buy them. i guess kino and sanseido's prices are pretty similar, but there was more of a variety in the cute stuff at sanseido, some things were actually pretty cheap! but now no more sanseido. huhuhu... =(
